Phil,
Right now it would appear to be a change in the DNN install requirements. However, I just found the original issue in our support system and it should have been addressed in the release package. You can see the issue here: http://support.dotnetnuke.com/issue/V...

You will need to give the Network Service account permissions to that folder in order to get past this issue.

Thanks WIll, I note that you've commented on the original issue in the support system.

In this case NetworkService does have the requisite permissions as Helm is set up to cascade the permissions to all files and folders below /httpdocs. So DNN appears to be asking for the ASPNET user in addtion to NetworkService.

Think I'll revert to 6.0.2 until the problem is fully resolved.

Just so I can add some more details to the ticket, would you mind telling me if you were trying to perform a new install or an upgrade?

...re-reading the error message, DNN is asking for just NetworkService permissions not ASPNET, so not a new install requirement as such.
