For the record, I made the mistake of purchasing a quite advanced html/css/javascript template and convert that to a DNN Skin (my first).  However too late to turn back.

In troubleshooting why my skin renders funny in > IE9, I'm going over the rendered output (html) and compare it to the original theme, to see where I went wrong.

One thign I noticed is that my skin includes jQuery 1.6 while our DNN installation include jQuery 1.4 (We use DNN 5.06.01) .

So the obvious course of action is to remove jQuery from my theme and upgrade the jQuery DNN are using to the latest version.

For one I'm not sure how to do this (should not use cdn, since this is an intranet server which are not connected to the internet)

Also was hoping for some thoughts on this.

Lesson learned, but too late to go back now.  (slap ,slap slap)

Here is a good blog post that will help get you started. The post is a little old, but the same steps will still apply to updating to the latest jQuery version.
