Hello..
Anyone know what tables are used for assigning modules to their module categories?  E.g.  HTML is set to Common, etc.

I want to query the database directly so I can get a listing of the installed modules, what modules are assigned to what portals and what categoies they are assigned to.  I have the first two completed (see below), just need to get the last part.

Thanks.. -Jeff

SELECT     PortalDesktopModules.PortalID, PortalAlias.HTTPAlias, DesktopModules.DesktopModuleID, DesktopModules.IsPremium, DesktopModules.FriendlyName, DesktopModules.Description
FROM         DesktopModules INNER JOIN
PortalDesktopModules ON DesktopModules.DesktopModuleID = PortalDesktopModules.DesktopModuleID LEFT OUTER JOIN
                      PortalAlias ON PortalDesktopModules.PortalID = PortalAlias.PortalID
ORDER BY DesktopModules.FriendlyName

categories are stored in Taxonomy - IMHO not an optimal solution.

Hi Sebastian,
Thanks for the reply.

I did find the categories for adding/deleting/updating them from the Taxonomy page.  But what I'm looking to create a SQL query from within Management Studio which will allow me to query to find out which extensions are assigned to whichever Taxonomy category.  I can't find the proper table which tells me which group the extension is part of.  E.g.  By default the HTML extension is part of the Common taxonomy category.  What table keeps track of these configurations?

As with my script above, it creates a list of extensions and what portals they're assigned to.

Thanks.. -Jeff

Taxonomy data is stored in tables Taxonomy_Terms, ContentItems and ContentItems_Tags - don't ask my why this complicated solution was chosen.

Hello Sebastian,
Wow, I'd thought it would be in a single table..  Guess not.. Ha-ha..

Was able to get a script configured to show me the info I needed to know.

Thanks for your help.. -Jeff

SELECT     ContentItems.ContentItemID, ContentItems.[Content], Taxonomy_Terms.Name
FROM         ContentItems INNER JOIN
                      ContentItems_Tags ON ContentItems.ContentItemID = ContentItems_Tags.ContentItemID INNER JOIN
                      Taxonomy_Terms ON ContentItems_Tags.TermID = Taxonomy_Terms.TermID
