Hi,

I've got a particularly strange problem:

I've got two horizontal menus in a skin that I am using on a website.

I copied the skin and renamed it in order to use it in a new website in  a different portal. So far so good.

In the new website (even without changing anything in the skin code or .css except the filename), the horizontal menus are coming out roughly twice the height they should be in Imternet Explorer 8). They are OK in firefox.

So my questions are:

Has anybody seen in some versions of IE where these horizontal menus come out too tall? I've seen this at times in different versions of IE, but don't know what the underlying problem/ fix is?

Am I creating a skin properly? I'm just copying the skin.aspx file and ./css file, and then renaming them to the new skin name, and then they show up in the menu  and I can assign them to a page. Is there something else I need to do? This has worked for me so far, but I'm not sure why I'm having this menu height problem in IE even when I copied the skin from one which works fine and the only difference is the name.

thanks,

Tom

OK I figured out that the problem was the doctype.
