I am also having a similar problem, however it is not exactly how others have explained it.
The DNNCE Text/HTML module did fail from 5.6.2 to 6.2.3. The Taxonomy module also failed, I've been unable to get them to install correctly.

I have however manually overwritten the .dll, and the /dosktop modules folder, and confirmed that the moduledefinitions, desktopmodules, and modulecontrol tables are correctly reflecting settings for the latest version of Text/HTML.

when I update the text, it persists while in edit mode. it records the new published text into the database. after 5 saves it has eliminated records from the original text from the dnn_HtmlText table.... yet while in view mode, the preupgrade text for the module still apears. The most bizzare thing is that I can't even find a reference to this original text in the database.

Could it be persisting through some kind of broken cache?

P.S. I am correctly using the newer DotNetNuke Text Editor, that's not my issue.

I'm completely stumped.
