I have the same problem - html module does not save any update. Upgraded from 5.6.1 to 6.1.1
On upgrade it looked like everythng worked but when I looked closer, I had the following DNNCE_HTML error.

00:00:29.249 - Installing Optional Modules:
00:00:29.267 - Installing Package File DDRMenu_02.00.01_Install: Success
00:00:30.863 - Installing Package File DNNCE_HTML_06.01.01_Install: Error!
00:00:32.437 - Installing Package File DNNCE_Messaging_06.01.01_Install: Success
00:00:33.008 - Installing Package File DNNCE_Taxonomy_06.01.01_Install: Success
00:00:33.540 - Installing Package File Telerik_06.01.00_Install: Success

Anyone know how to correct this - Tried all 3 editors, none worked and the module won't save any upates in Basic Editor either.

Thanks,

John K

this sounds like a SQL Script for the code did not run properly.
please browse to "/install/install.aspx?mode=upgrade" on your web site; does this trigger upgrade scripts to run or just a blank page? in the second case, please check the .log.resources files associated with versions since 5.6x for errors contained.

When I browse to "/install/install.aspx?mode=upgrade" it results in just a blank screen.
There are only two log.resources files prior to the upgrade date - both are 0 KB.
The log.resources file from the upgrade date has this error repeated many times - may have nothing to do with it.

System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: A connection was successfully established with the server, but then an error occurred during the pre-login handshake. (provider: SSL Provider, error: 0 - The handle specified is invalid)

Do you think installing a different html editor would solve this problem?
Do I have to reinstall the DNN Instance?
