could you please understand that such usage of ClientDependency will lead DNN free usage to dead end.
Do I need to move from Medium trust level to Full trust level?
Please answer cause I must make my decissions. My web site is down already more than week.

Got an answer from our hosting provider. They disabled the EnvironmentPermission in Medium trust because Microsoft recommended it. In their opinion OS, Computername and User can not help to improve a website. They can only be abused.

This raises the question: why does the Client Dependency Framework needs this property?
Why not use the System.Net.Dns.GetHostName() like DNN does?

Our hosting provider just changed the custom medium trust settings, based on a changed recommendation (appearently since .NET 4.0) of Microsoft (http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/...) My problem should be solved. I will do some testing and give feedback of the results.

Thanks all for the support and time in investigating this problem.

Cliff, thanks for the update, good to know (at least in your case) it was not a medium trust issue. I did some further research and a few threads had anecdotal reports of sites running under users that did not have all .net permissions (i.e. had not applied aspner_regiis -ga) having the same issue. I'm sure we'll be taking a look at this to see if we can workaround the issue.
