I am currently working on a new release of the Survey module planned for August 2006.

  • 3 Modes “Simple”, “Match”, and “Quiz”
    • Simple Mode
      • Thank you message at the end - Then it takes you to results
    • "Match Mode"
      • Displays the users that matched the logged in users answers the closest in a pageable data grid
      • Maximum matches to return can be set
    • Quiz Mode
      • Requires the user to be signed in
      • Upon submission the module should mark the test immediately, display the result to the user, and visibly indicate questions which were incorrect (possibly highlighting them in red and displaying the explanation text below each. It should also email a copy of the test to the users email account as well as to a user defined email address (the instructor) set in settings.
      • User can only take the test only once
      • The test results are saved per user in the database
      • When the Admin logs in, they are able to select from a list of users who have taken the test and review their results. There should be an option to re-send the test results (to the user and the instructor specified - same as above ). They are also able to select a Retest option which deletes the users previous attempt and allows them to take the test again ( history will be lost except for the original email )

What does the Simple mode display when the survey has been completed?

How about a "No Action" mode. Simply complete the survey, then redirect to a specified page.

I also would like to suggest you add a "required" check box (all users must complete) and allow a variable number of submissions per mode.

Thanks!

What about the obvious need for the list of users with their answers in the results feature?

I'm looking for the new version that has "Quiz" mode.  Was that released?  I have DNN 4.3.7 installed with Survey 4.00.20.

Thanks
