I'm considering the Enterprise edition of DNN and have some questions:-

I would like to install a copy of DNN on a local development server where I create the initial content, configuration, themes and modules etc. Once I'm ready for the initial 'go live' I want to publish this to a remote server (via FTP) - does the content staging feature provide for / automate this?

In the future I might like to use the 'development' server to develop new themes, write and test modules etc, however on some occassions I might wish to use the live website data to restore this to the current production state. Is this possible?

I'd envisaged using approval workflows to allow contributors to submit content via the live site and in general the 'content staging' server would really be a test server for bespoke modules etc. How many copies of DNN can I install with an Enterprise license?

 Thanks for any advice offered!

if you email sales@dnncorp.com I'm sure they can help you with these questions. Please note, content staging currently starts with the production/staging site being cloned and then staging manages changes (files/folders/tabs/modules/portalsettings) - Note: we're looking to enhance content staging to cover more items and also support out-of-sync sites.

please note, there are some other options you might consider for moving content between staging and production - http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Wiki/Page/Staging-content.aspx
