Site is much slower than it used to be. I have the cheapest DNN hoster on the net but it used to perform better. I am getting a lot of timeouts when trying to edit. Is there a way to increase timeout setting?

Thanks

Stephen,

Google gives me 100 pages indexed. This is a very tiny website. Is that all ?

Also 27 mb is VERY small database.

So unless something is hidden from my eyes, your problems could only be:

1. Technical (disk errors or something)

2. TREMENDOUS traffic. Is that the case ?

3. Overloaded server.

Also 82 mb as log file is big. Don't they backup the database ? Usually after every backup the log is cleared.

Also you could try changing

Caching Provider: FileBasedCachingProvider

to Memory with medium caching.

My performance issue seems to be resolved, my old DNN 4 skin had not written some files in the proper directory.

I have tried memory caching in the past and this did not resolve the problem. The site is not large, safety like many issues is not very popular. I only get less than 2 gig traffic a month. The database is the size culprit after 5 or 6 months.

My hosting provider seems to have excellent performance for the price, I do not think there are any issues there, new servers etc.

Thanks
