Hi,

Our DNN installation is isolated in one app pool. It is set to recycle about once a day. When it does, the site goes down temporarily and displays the "Under Construction" page. The problem is that the error page stays up, even after the pool is recycled. I guess it stays in cache? The way we fix it is by simply re-saving the web.config file. That clears the cache and essentially refreshes the site. Obviously we would like the site to come up automatically after each recycle. Any ideas?

Also, our app pool for DNN uses a lot of memory. It frequently rises well above 1 GB. What could be the cause of that, and how can we tune it?

Thanks :)

the only time I've seen a similar case is when the user was using SQL express as the database and it was set to AutoClose=true. When the application pool came back up the failed connection was cached (by asp.net) -i would recommend you check your AutoClose state and set it to false

I did check. We're using SQL Server 2008 and AutoClose is set to false.
