I'm currently converting an existing site to DNN 6.1.  The site has a large existing user base and those users will be imported into the new site so users do not have to reregister.  We will be utilizing ActiveSocial for this site, and I am trying to determine the best way to import the users into the new DNN/ActiveSocial site.

I've had some success using the user import tool I found on CodePlex for imporing the users into DNN.  However, they users were not loaded into the ActiveSocial tables.  If I was to import all the users first, then install ActiveSocial, would the ActiveSocial install import the DNN users?  Does anyone know of an easier way to import users into DNN/ActiveSocial.

Thanks in advance.

Does anyone know a better place for me to post this / look for a solution to this problem?

You could try asking the same question at activemodules.com

Do a search on google:
site:activemodules.com user import

I do know that AS utilizes the DNN profile. Thus, theoretically, if you import them into your new DNN site, they should already be ready to go with new AS profiles. Not sure, never tried it.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.  I will try them over there and hope to have more luck.  Thanks.
