Hi,

I installed 6.1.1 yesterday and created a portal.  It works okay except that it randomly fails with "500 - Internal Server Error" message.  If I wait a few minutes and refresh the page it sometimes comes back. It will work fine for 30 minutes and then this error will come up.

I don't see any errors in the application log. 

Any ideas?

This problem was occurring for me each time a user profile was used for the first time after a restart of server.  I found in the web.config file that the authentication form was pointed to the windowssignin.aspx file.  After reviewing the set up in the DNN authentication module, I could see that it specified the logon.ascx file.  

After changing web.config to point at the logon.ascx file, the intermittent 500 - Internal Server Error disappeared.  The windowssignin.aspx file does reside in the authentication module folder, not sure why it intermittently works where the logon.ascx file appears to always function correctly.
