I checked in on my first DNN4 site today (IIS6 + SQL 2005), and was surprised to see a 'Server Application Unavailable' message. The site simply wouldn't respond.

It's pretty strange because all my initial setup of the site was complete and I was making page updates all yesterday with no problems at all.  My DNN site is running in it's own Application Pool, with the default IIS6 recycling time of 1754 minutes. I suppose it's possible the I caught the site in the middle of an app pool recycle but I doubt this, and this shouldn't cause an error in an application anyhow.

There's nothing worse than random site outages, can someone take a guess why the site has gone south?  It returned fine after an IISReset.

thanks
