Hello, most of the new installed modules don't show.

I am in the process of upgrading the website - I have done the DNN upgrade and DNN 6.1.1 is running.
There are a few Portals (different domains installed)

Now, I've tried to install a few new modules to the site.
In Host > Extensions there is no "Category" assigned... I can change this - OK!
In Host > Extensions if I look into the module settings under "Assign Premium Modules"

- Old Modules: Assigned => All Portal Names are in the list
- New Modules: Assigned => Only one Portal name is in the list

I would expect that the other portals show under "UnAssigned" and I Assign them but there is nothing....

Any idea how I can access the new installed modules?
Many Thanks,

Oliver

Hi, I was just researching the DNN database to solve my problem.

All the modules install without error message BUT they just don't show up in the  "Modules" menu at the top (After Host before Pages)
I just had a look at another DNN 6.1.1 install - Host > Extensions > Edit (any module) > Assigned Premium Modules

I do find all Portals - either Assigned (or UnAssigned)

With my current installation I do see only one portal - three are missing - Why?
Any ideas what to edit?

Many Thanks.

Oliver

Hello, I've solved the original problem -  all installed modules show now in the in "Modules Menu" and can be added to pages.

I have changed the language settings for all sub-portals (domains) in the tables Portal, Portallanguages and  PortalLocalization from en-GB to en-US. If this additional language provides such a problem - how do I get rid of en-GB?

Change all the "en-gb" values in table:  PortalSettings?

Many thanks.
Oliver

this sounds like a bug in the framework, please log it into the issue tracker at support.dotnetnuke.com.
If you need en-GB (i.e. you are located in the UK or Europe), you should keep en-US in Admin > Languages and just disable it. How does language configuration look like for the portals missing?

After installing your new modules (in Resources),
when you goto a page to add a module,
There's an Admin Menu at the top: Admin - Host - Modules - Pages - Tools
Modules Menu > Add Module
it defaults to Category: Common
Remember to change from Category: Common to Category: All Categories
so that your list of modules & 3rd party modules appear.
