I have a really new install of DNN 06.01.01 (12) that I'm getting the error below.  I only added a new skin and one module when this error has occured.  Now it happens on each new install.  I changed the Admin ad host skin back to the default DNN skin and it still happens.     I cannot find a direct reference to DNN only .NET.  I'm not sure how to fix this error.  The error appears after the install has gone successfully and the RETURN button is clicked.

A critical error has occurred. The command 'MoveComplete' is not valid for the previous step, make sure the step type is not changed between postbacks.

Any help would be great.

Thanks... Rick

When logged in as host user, please check the Admin --> Event Viewer for any related errors which may have logged additional information - in particular a stack trace. Please post your findings in this thread for us to examine.

Also, if in Host Settings, Performance Settings, you have GZip compression selected, try changing to "No Compression".

Compression was not on.

Here is the log entry that I think matches the error message.  I have the entire log around that time if needed.

Hi

I am having exactly same problem. Has anyone come up with a solution to this?

Thanks
Tony

I worked and worked to find the answer. I uninstalled modules, changed skins back to the default... I never found the issue. I had to start fresh with a new install of DNN and then carefully layer the pages and modules back in. I also created a new database. I'm still OK with the new site.

The only reason that I di this was because it was a really new install, just 2 days into building it. Other wise I think I would have had to find the issue. I think this is in some respects a .NET issue that DNN is manifesting. But what I don't know.

Thanks... Rick
