Hi at all,
I read some post in this forum about moving the dnn from framework 3.5 to 4.0, but all modification don't work for my develop and production enviroment.

  • I had converted the dnn from visual studio 2010 and changed the application pool, result: dnn working, but if I try to update content get an error, if I want to manage page, the control don't work.
  • I had removed from a fresh copy of dnn all the settings in web.config that must be changed in framework 4.0, result: the same of the previous point.
  • Changed only the application pool, same result.

Please, can any help me with a solution?

Thanks a lot,
Simone

Simone, if you want to upgrade DNN on a production site, do not use Visual Studio at all. Simply enter Host > Configuration Manager and execute .Net 4 merge script (lower module section), to be found in dropdown ("/install/config/Net40.config")

Clicking on the Execute Merge didn't do anything. I mean the button didn't do a postback. I will do the merge manually.
