Hello, 

I am a new in dotnetnuke and wanted to upgrade from version 5.1.1 to the new release version 6.1.2

The Host panel shows me this warning:

"Note: You are running on an old version of the .NET Framework. Future upgrades of the DotNetNuke platform will require .NET 3.5 SP1 or later. If you believe you are running .NET 3.5 SP1 already, please check your web.config file and ensure that the 3.5 or above versions of both System.Core and System.Data.Linq are referenced in the assemblies node."

I have .NET 3.5 SP1 installed already, but can't able to ensure that my web.config file contains proper reference of  "System.Core and System.Data.Linq". 

Could any one help me in this issue?

Where do you host your website? The notification tells you that you are not using the suggested version for next upgrade... I would check my Hosting Control Panel and ensure that app pool is 3.5 and above.. If not, i would create a ticket at hosting provider's support tracker.

Plus, when upgrading you should follow best practises, and must backup before doing any upgrade...
