Is there a way to change the post date (or 'entry date' as it's called in the blog module) for a given post? The user wants to add to an older post, and the post date change to the current date, and come up to the top of the recent entries.

I'm running version 4.0.0. Thanks for any information.

Post date is a read-only date, the interface does not support changing it.

However, if you really have to update it you could do so using a quick script in the Host > SQL window.

UPDATE {databaseOwner}[{objectQualifier}Blog_Entries
SET AddedDate = '<date string here>'
WHERE EntryID = <entry id here>

Updating with SQL is not for the average user, but I hope that is helpful.

Thanks Scott. I was afraid of that, but good to know for sure.

It would be nice to have an option to over ride the create date, if needed, so that simple updates don't affect the timeline of blog posts.
