Our company is currently using DNN to run our newly created website. We have an outside programmer who is helping us make a lot of our custom modules and handles all of our database related work. In-house, we have two Graphic Designers who built the skin and containers and modify/update the CSS for the skin, containers and modules. We are a Mac-based firm and our initial CSS files and .ASCX files were built in Dreamweaver and uploaded to our remote server. From there on out, most modifications have been done through Remote Desktop Connection using Notepad. This has been extremely inefficient from our standpoint.

I have heard suggested from other DNN users that they can use Visual Web Developer to use an FTP or RDS server log-in in order to work locally on CSS and ASCX documents and then upload changes to their DNN server. Dreamweaver offers similar functionality and we have used it in the past for other non-DNN based websites.

My question is, has anyone ever used Mac-based Dreamweaver instead of Visual Web Developer to work locally and upload changes remotely? Was it successful? Did you have any issues with this method?

Thank you.
