I think that this discussion may reflect a misunderstanding of the terms parent and child when it comes to DotNetNuke portals. Despite the terminology, they are separate websites and using a menu in the skin for one site doesn't necessarily bring up pages in the second site.

If you want to have a "menu" in site A that refers to site B, you will need to reference site B with full URLs, and you can't do that dynamically with a DotNetNuke menu.

I manage to add the DDR menu as a submenu. I define in the settings of the menu the Nodes to include. Unfortunately it doesn't work on IE6. It is invisible.

Hi Joseph,

you are write, I refer site B with full URLs. My problem was to add a second menu (sub menu) to the child site. I manage to add a sub menu using DDR menu but doesn't work on IE6.

For IE6, there are some CSS issues that you'll need to address to make the menu visible.

As for using the DDR Menu in site A to generate links to pages in site B, that isn't going to work. The problem is that the menu is designed to generate links to the current page.

However, if Site B is part of the same installation as Site A, it would be possible to create a custom module to generate links to Site B.

I agree the menu generate link to the current page but I redirect the page to any URL  using "Pages / Page Settings / Advanced Settings / Other Settings - Link Type: URL ( A Link To An External Resource )"
