I've upgraded a test site from 6.00.02 to 6.01.02 and now every page with ASP validators is generating a javascript error similar to

Char: 1
Error: Invalid character
Code: 0
URL: http://xxx.xxx.xxx/ScriptResource.asd........

Using IE's "F12 Developer Tools" shows that script resource as nothing but scrambled bytes (maybe an encoding issue?).

It looks like this is just an issue when running under debugger (I'm using VS2010 Express).  Validators seem to work fine outside of the debugging environment.

Changing to the DarkKnight skin generates the same error, removing the ASP validators resolves the error.  Does anyone know of a 'work around' or if a bug needs to be reported?

Thanks for your reply.  I checked the whitespace and compression settings and compression is off. Also, I'm not using any page accelerator modules.

HOWEVER, I also tried to reproduce my problem and it appears to have 'Gone Away"...  I'm not sure what caused it, nor what resolved it, but I'm glad its behind me (hopefully for good).
