Hi All,
I am trying to setup DNN in my local machine do some minor changes and then migrate my site from lcoal to production environment sicne last almsot 30 days.
I was able to setup successfully in my local machine then moved all teh files via FTP (using web matrix) to my production and provided RW access to each file and folders in my httpdocs folder (IUSR_XXXXX is the ISS user for me) and still not able to see my site up and running.

Keepign all these experiences in mind, I think it wiould be good if we can have a separate dedicated section for issues with Deployment in DNN forum.

any thoughts from ?

the iusr_xxxx is not the right account -that is used for classic asp, asp.net uses different user accounts - please see http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Wiki/Page/Install_DotNetNuke.aspx for lists of the permissions needed.

That's a long time.  We can help, but you need to tell us more.  Just saying "still not able to see my site up and running" does not enable us to help you.

What did you do?  What happened?  How was that different to what you expected?

Best wishes,

Here is the process that i have followed.

1. Downloaded DNN 6.1.2. to my local machine
2.logged in as host and unchecked Getting started page to be shown in menu.
3.modified web.config with my hosting SQL server details
4.uploaded all the files via web matrix to my hosting account httpdocs folder
5.provided full access to each folder and individual files in httpdocs folder as my hosting provider will not allow providing permissions at httpdocs folder level
6.tried to browse my site and i am getting the error Access to the path 'C:\inetpub\vhosts\abcdef.com\httpdocs\App_Data\ClientDependency\H83-SECUREHOSTP-34f59d97b7f297ffbecac8103e51929d-map.xml' is denied

Can you please suggest?
