Another of the many uses of the Repository is the ability to use it as a Classified Ads module. Once the item is sold I would like the owner to be able to delete their post and picture, if any.

Yes, that is the case. Admins and the original author ( uploader ) can delete an item by clicking on the pencil icon to get to the edit page. At the bottom will be a hyperlink that will delete ( with confirmation ) the item from the Repository.

Other than Admins ( who can edit/delete all items ) each person can only edit/delete the items they uploaded, not other people's items.
