1.  The Popup menus frequently appear BEHIND my other screen content when I hover over a Manage button.  This happens in Layout mode or Edit mode.  Is there a way to make the popup menus (mega menus?) always appear on top of everything else no matter what?

2.  The manage buttons all look exactly the same, so I can't tell half the time WHAT I'm supposed to be managing.  In a perfect world, I guess it would be obvious, but in practice, due to CSS and all kinds of crazy layout issues, the Manage buttons don't always appear where you would expect them to.  It would make my life so much easier if they said "Manage [ModuleName]".  OR, if the module name at least appeared on the popup menu.  Right?

3.  Sometimes the manage buttons appear literally directly on top of each other, so there is NO WAY to click on the bottom one to Edit Content.  Even when I try the alternate method of going to Admin - Pages - MyPage - Modules - Edit Button, for some strange reason there is no "Edit Content" link or section There.  When this overlap issue happens (frequently), I have to actually remove my skin from the page (so the manage buttons shift around) then manage the content, then re-apply my skin.  Major hassle.

I'm using DNN 6.x and IE 8.  Are other people running into these issues?  Admittedly, I'm very new to DNN.  :-|

I've had those issues too, though I've never had problem#2 personally.
From what I understand you have to lower the module priority I believe in the CSS or maybe you have to increase it in this case? I'm not sure and don't ask me how. Just what I remembered from one of the skinning training videos.

If you have an overflow:hidden on an element  in your skin, try removing that.

Hi

One trick for clearing floated layouts is overflow:hidden. However this gives issues with the new manage action menu. You would need to modify the skin to not have overflow:hidden. if this gives clearing issues with your skin try implementing the clearfix method I have used those before.

That is not the only issue with floated elements that the new actionmenu has. if you have one content pane that is floated on top of another content pane the manage button is also completely unusable.

I have banned the default actionmenu from all my sites and just replaced it with my own ( after all its just another ddrmmenu template ) . I usually have a simple dropdown combo box and that works great for me or my clients, it works without any extra bells and whisteles. You can get the dropdown tempalte form here http://dnnddrmenutemplates.codeplex.com/

Another option is to use the action menu from watchers.net you can find this on codeplex as well or useone of the other tempaltes, i also had good succes with the superfihs tempalte as a base for the action menu
