Hi,

In our project we are using Events 5.2 and DNN 6.0.1.

I can´t understand how event works with begin and end date in list and detail of recurrent events. In our case, for example, we have a recurrent event :

Beginning 30-12-2011 10:00h

Ending 24-02-2015 18:00h

And the recurrence end date is 24-02-2015

We have a repeater and collapsing recurrent events option = true in List view

The list and the detail have a costume template and both are using the tags

[event:startdate|HH:mm]

 [event:enddate|HH:mm]

In list and detail the begin date is 17-01-2012 and end date is 28-03-2015

Can you explain what is happening. Am I doing something wrong?

Regards

Hi,

I think I'd have to understand what you are entering in your dates.

The implication from what you have put is that you have put he start date/time as 30/12/11 10.00 and end date/time as 24/02/15 18.00. That would make a single occurrence of he event something over 3 years long.

The recurrence end date indicates when the start of the last recurrence of the event should occur before. You don't state what recurrence pattern you have entered, so I can't say much more.

If you can provide exact details on what you have put in start/end/recurrence end/recurrence pattern I can better tell you what is happening.

It´s a weekly event that occurs mo, tu, we, th, fr and sat.

I´ve done this (event end date = recurrent end date) because the recurrence tag has the end date (00.00.0000) and it doesn´t suite our project needs like saying the number of events. If there was a tag for end recurrent date I would use it.

But my major problem is the event start date is being ignored, and changed for another date…that’s what I can’t understaind

Regards

Please can you supply exactly what you are putting in each field, and I'll try to work out what is going on.

Thanks
Roger
