Hi, I run DNN 5.06 and after an upgrade on my Server (Webserver 2008 R2) the website wouldn't call the default.aspx page as the default, the error it throws is:

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Description: An unhandled exception occurred during the execution of the current web request. Please review the stack trace for more information about the error and where it originated in the code. 

Exception Details: System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

It is running on asp.net 4 on integrated pipeline.

Anyone come across this or has any suggestions? Thanks

the windows event log of the server may give you more information. Do you see any ASP.NET related errors around the time this occurs?

Thanks Eric, the Windows event viewer is very similar to the error:

NullReferenceException
