So, was installing this trial for Bring2Mind that helps manages files. The installation was unsuccessful and I had to manually uninstall it. However, doing so caused my site to get nothing, but errors. Then after cleaning up all the tables involving that module in the database I still got errors with web.config. So I replaced the web.config  with another old web.config. Now The whole site is empty and trying to do a fresh installation. I'm at a loss as to what to do.

Also, seems that I'm not connected to the database anymore. I have an empty dnn website so I'm wondering if web.config lost connection string?

Good news, I was right and had to just fix the connection string. Bad news, logging in gives me this error on every module:

An error has occurred. DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. ---> System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at DotNetNuke.UI.Containers.ActionBase.get_ActionRoot() at DotNetNuke.UI.Containers.ActionBase.OnLoad(EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---
