Out of no where I started getting this in my development environment :

A critical error has occurred.
Directory 'C:\dotnetnuke\DesktopModules\MyModule\App_LocalResources' does not exist. Failed to start monitoring file changes.

It doesn't seem like that directory exists in any modules, why would an exception occur in my custom module? I haven't changed anything recently...

Running 3.2.2, XP.

If you are using the DNN framework to localise your static strings lke you should, then your module will need this folder as that is where the resxfiles for each control are stored.  You will find al core modules use this folder.  f you dont see them then your install is corrupted somehow.

So I create the folder and move the resx files there? There is a folder in the root of the installation, do I leave that one there too?

I gave that a shot and it worked! I wonder why those folders were not set up automatically when I created the project.....
