Hi,

I've written an HTTPModule to pick out a value from the querystring.

I've applied it to my DNN Install (06.01.01), the HTTPModule is being executed but the querystring value that is being returned looks like it is encrypted somehow.

The HTTPModule works in isolation outside of DNN.

Any ideas?

I've tried changing the position of the definition of the HTTModule in the <httpModules> section of the web.config, but it's still the same.

Thanks,

Scott

FYI nothing in DotNetNuke automatically encrypts the querystring - if a link is generated via linkclick this will contain an obfuscated value but this is expected. Can you provide an example of the querystring?

URL im calling is:

http://localhost:8080/default.aspx?AffiliateCode=TWE123

In my HTTPModule I am dumping the whole querystring to a cookie, and the value of the cookie it creates is:

_=1327512547692

(im dumping the whole querystring at the moment for debug purposes because I couldn't work out why it wasn't picking out my value)

in that case it seems like the problem may be in the custom code as the querystring is not encrypted i.e. TWE123 is not an encrypted value -if you retrieve Request.QueryString["AffilitateCode"]; it should return "TWE123"

It should do.. but doesn't :)

I'll have another look at it next week.

Thanks,

Scott
