We have an existing DNN applications running on version 4.3. We want to create another application using the latest version of DNN 6.2. Is there a way of sharing user information between two different version of DNN.  I saw some modules that let me share user between different portals but not  between different DNN versions.

Is importing user information between database my only option or can I write custom authentication modules in the newer application that can talk to older DNN installation.

Thanks,

Vinay

you would either need a custom authentication and membership provider, getting the user information from your other installation or some kind of replication service. AFAIR dnnMasters used to have a module for this purpose, but I never tried it.
