Have nearly completed the upgrade process, but my browser seems to be doing nothing for the last half hour - not sure whether to stop it or let it carry on. install/install.aspx?mode=upgrade screen is currently showing the following:

Stopped the browser after 1 hour.

Now getting the message:

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

Well, I don't know what happened, but I was trying to use the diagnose connection wizard to see the last log and my site suddendly sprang into life.

I guess the upgrade had reached the end, but it would be nice if someone could confirm it - or if there is any way to complete the process - that would be good too. It took a long time to do the backup and then upgrade, so I'm going to carry on if the site appears to work OK.

great, you were able to solve it, but please check your event log in Admin menu for any issues logged, which might affect future upgrades.

If you were using IE9 ... I suggest using Firefox instead.

I've always been an IE user but IE9 seems to be the "I'm going to use any excuse I can to time out and crash that I can possibly find." It's definitely a poor candidate for upgrade operations.

At least, IE9 on Win 7 64-bit. Touchy fragile application.
