There is a new Menu in the latest version of DotNetNuke that was just released.  I have not tried it out yet, but it is supposed to be more XHTML compliant.

Hi John - any chance you could provide more about this?  I've been re-reading the documentation and poking around looking for insight into your post here, but can't find anything.

I dug around again and found the Webcontrols blog and then finally the PDF on this that I had downloaded last month for 4.3.0.  This works like a charm (DNNNav).

Hope this helps another

Thanks

I've been working on the new menu for a skin release and also tweaking the css code so I finally have no errors or warnings... and no tables in the menu.  I blogged about this and it will be released as a free skin this week, however, it's only horizontal menu - not vertical which does require a table in this current format - but wow, very impressed, and tested in IE, FF 1.54 & Opera 9 I think that's the latest.

I've been reading the docs on the new DNN Nav Control and it looks pretty swanky. I'd like to see more discussion or info on this as all I really got from the documentation was a headache . In particular, what are the CSS Classes and how / where do you define them? (I probably skimmed over them without knowing it)

For info I eventually used Snapsis CSS NavMenu (http://www.snapsis.com/) which can be configured to do everything I require.
