Hi all,

I have a container that has an "edit content" and "Edit Settings" link at the bottom along with the image associated with them.  I'd love to add these links to the bottom of the HTML module so that my users have easier access to them.  Obviously they can hover over the "Manage" button and access both links from the pop-up but I like the direct approach.

How can I do this?

Thanks,

Mark

OK, I figured out how to get the edit link at the bottom but placing this at the top of my container control:

<%@ Register TagPrefix="dnn" TagName="ACTIONBUTTON" Src="~/Admin/Containers/ActionButton.ascx" %>

And this at the bottom:

The only issue is that the "Manage" button no longer appears.

Does any one know why?

Thanks,
Mark

Sebastian,

Sure.  Sorry about that.

This tag can be placed at the top:

< % @ Register TagPrefix = "dnn" TagName = "ACTIONBUTTON" Src=" ~/Admin/Containers/ActionButton.ascx " % >

And this control at the bottom:

< dnn :ACTIONBUTTON runa t= "server" id = "dnnACTIONBUTTON1" CommandName="AddContent.Action" DisplayIcon="True" DisplayLink="True" />

And I get the "Edit Content" link in my HTML module but it appears to interfer with the standard "Manage" button that's normally used by admins to manage the module.  The button is no longer partially transparent (it's completely visible) and hovering over it no longer produces the pop-up to manage the module.

Any ideas why?  Or is there a better way to do this?  This isn't an issue in my container, just the HTML module.

Thanks,

Mark

Without wanting to hijack this thread;
I found this behaviour too when trying to add a print action button to a container.

The action button code is slightly different if you use the container skin objects configurator in the DNN Wiki
If this version is used neither the action button nor the manage button are visible.

I suppose this question comes down to: Can we still use action buttons ?
