I uploaded a 500meg zip file via FTP.  I cant find it through file manager. It seems that file manager will not allow files over 100meg.  Can you confirm or tell me what setting to change to handle large files (not necessarily large file uploads)

There are 2 different settings that control max file upload size

1 is in the DotNetNuke web.config file and the 2nd is a .Net Framework setting

I blogged about the .Net Framework change here:

http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Resources/Blogs/EntryId/3222/Uploading-files-larger-than-30-Megabytes.aspx

If you need really large upload, > 500 Megabytes then you need to make a change to the C:\Windows\System32\inetsrv\config\applicationHost.config file as described in the blog post
