Help! I was trying to customise the DNN 6 login modal window and things have gone wrong. Here's what I did:

  • Created my own login page on the portal, customised the default HTML module to display some friendly instructions then added the authentication module to the page. All good so far.
  • Added this code from another forum post to my portal.css:

/* adjust login position in popup */
.dnnClear.dnnLogin.dnnForm {width:400px; min-width:400px;margin-left:10em;margin-top:50px}
/* adjust login module width */
#Content .dnnClear.dnnLogin.dnnForm {width:280px; min-width:280px;margin-left: 0em;margin-top:10px}
#Content .dnnLoginService.dnnForm .dnnFormItem label {width:80px;}
#Content .dnnLogin input[type=text], #Content .dnnLogin input[type=password] {width:120px;}
#Content .dnnLoginService a.dnnPrimaryAction {margin-left:30px;}
#Content .dnnLoginRememberMe {margin-left: 135px;}
#Content .dnnForm .loginContent ul.dnnActions {padding-left:50px;}

  • Then deleted that code from portal.css and also deleted my custom login page.

Now when I click the Login link the modal does not appear but the site 'flashes' briefly. I'm not sure how to restore it and have no admin access to the portal now.
