Greg,

Are you using any thrid-party URL rewriting providers or tab/page managers? I recall that earlier versions of IFinity URL Rewriter had placed triggers on the Modules and Tabs table to run custom SQL script whenever a module was added. A similar problem occurred as a result when the ModuleTitle column was moved from the Modules table back in DNN 5.3 or so. As Cathal indicated, the Event Viewer may show more information as to where the error is occuring.

We do use iFinity URL, but I have the system currently reverted to the standard URL re-writer.

I can't even add a simple HTML module to any page. The event viewer isn't really telling me what module is dying - just that it is a sqlclient.exception.

This isn't a show-stopper as I'm just evaluating 6.2 and the new social features.

I'm actually glad I read the wiki though - I wrote a module to create a sidebar menu and it's using TabPath. I'll look at the code in the vw_Tabs to see how you are using that SQL recursion to derive the value.

Greg,

Just to satisfy my curiosity - please check to see if there is an active database trigger (insert) still applied to the Modules table.

Also, please post the complete error (stack trace in particular) from the Event Viewer.
