Hello,

At the moment I'm in progress on building a module, but I ran into a small problem that I can't seem to find an answer to.

Is it possible to access a file in the BLL?

In the module I have a file called Controller.cs and I want to use an image I have located in the folder Images within the module root. Is there any code that allows me access to my file in D:\DNN6\DesktopModules\RealEstateList\Images\filenotfound.jpg

I think it is a simple problem.  The file access feature of .Net can resolve your problem. Also please be careful that maybe there is some permission limitation for your web application to access your file system.

Please contact us if you need  any DNN development outsource resource.

In your previous post "Server.Map + file" can not be used, as you make clear by deleting it.

Now you talk about "file access feature of .Net". But can you give me an example?

As a class in the BLL does not know where DotNetNuke is installed ("D:\DNN6\") and does not know where the module is installed ("DesktopModules\RealEstateList\").

I probably can find a solution in searching my module by it's friendly name, looping through the DesktopModuleController. But I was hoping for a more simple and secure solution.
