Created new Issue (7805).

But I am pretty sure that the code as it stands now fixes no bugs.

I believe the intention of the code is to exit if HTTP_USER_AGENT is not present in request.ServerVariables. But what it actually does is to throw 'Object reference not set..' instead of exiting.

Due to the tostring() the if clause below will never be reached if strRequest actually is nothing. And since request.ServerVariables() already is of type string anyway, I cannot find any other purpose of the tostring() than to crash when string is not set (key is not present in collection).

Running into an issue where a child portal is occasionally being redirected to the parent portal instead.

I.e. If they are attempting to go to http://parentportal/childportal, they are redirected to http://parentportal/Home/tabid/225/logon/63466701935278476/Default.aspx instead and the parentportal is the page shown.

(it occurred to me as I was typing that URL that there might have been more characters off the end, but they were not included in the screenshot)

If they try again a few seconds later, it will work properly.

Did you find anything on this?  Still got people saying it is happening to them.

I haven't been able to recreate it Dan but I'll give it another shot.

Dan, I can now recreate it but looking at the code..... Are you sure this hasn't always been an issue? I went back and check some of the old code and the particular section of code that does the final redirect hasn't changed in a few versions.

It might have happened before, but I never got any reports of it. The first couple of days after putting the beta online I got a lot of complaints about it, but haven't seen it happen as much lately, but enough that people are putting in support tickets on it now.
