you will need to edit the page skin for your site to either use the image from web site settings or use a fixed image (which is usually easier)

Hi Guys,

I am having a similar issue, please how did you resolve this?

Sebastian, please what would a quick fix be for this? Can't I just edit the style sheet under advanced settings?

Sorry I am quite new to all this

you need to select the area you want to apply your image to (e.g. by div id or combination of class names - a developer toolbar (like pression F12 in Internet Explorer 8 and above) will be of great help, if you are not using a manually created skin.
now you may add CSS background definition to portal.css file, e.g. by using stylesheet editor in Admin > Site Settings.

Thanks Sebastian

I am quite new to this so I might struggle a bit. I did not create this skin manually and I bought the skin from the dnn store.

I have gone into Admin--> Site Settings and added the following line of code to the bottom of the stylesheet editor

body { background: url(../Images/rightbg.gif) repeat-x; }

Surely this should overwrite all other settings? Instead, it still appears briefly when I refresh the pages and disappears when it is fully loaded.

I was told that the skin.css file has been written to prevent certain areas in the skin from displaying the background image. As I am quite new to skinning, will it be possible to fix this withoout altering the skin? Does this then mean that if I make changes to the skin.css file I will have to reinstall it on my website?

Many thanks
