Hi all,
We have an existing content management system that I would like to import into dnn 4. It is bascially a bunch of html content files (about 10,000), with a specific naming convention for where they go (navigation, of a kind). So, if I create a template for how things will look, will I then be able to just import the content into the database? Where would I find info on which tables I need to update?
Sorry if I haven't explained it properly. I have just started looking at dnn, so I am not very familiar with it.

TIA,
    John

it is a question, how you want the content structured - each page as DNN page with a single HTML module on it? How shall navigation be done, as 10.000 entries in a menu is not a good idea. You might search for an aggregating module, where you can select text from a list (like with user defined table). You still need an import tool - I have not yet heard, that this exists, but it shall be easy to create.

Navigation will not be a problem (surpirsingly). Only a hundred or so would be accessible from the navigation. As long as I can group the content based on the file name, I am home free..
For example:
The following files would all be grouped at the same level:
abc.def.ghi.htm
abc.def.qrs.htm
abc.def.mno.htm

Their parent would be:
abc.def.htm

and it's parent would be:
abc.htm

Hope that explains it a bit better.

Thanks,
    John
