Hi All,

I'm having issues with authentication using multiple subdomains. My Client would like to go across multiple subdomains within different portals (using the host account) (like www.mydomain.com and domain.com).

Unfortunatly, this doesn't work. What I see on my cookie information is that the authentication cookie is set to the domain:
mydomain.com
instead of
.mydomain.com

I cannot set an default cookie domain in my web.config since there are different domains registered on this DNN instance.

Can you please help?

There are a few issues here. It also has to do with the way the accounts are tied to roles which are tied to the sites. It's more than a simple cookie setting.

The commercial versions of DotNetNuke supports doing this using Site Groups, you may want to look into it.

it is just for the host account and the host account can access every portal/domain.
I am just the hoster for the application. We have migrated his site to our servers. He claims that it worked before we did the migration.
