I saw some posts about DNN on Godaddy shared host problems, and I'm affected by that too.
I wan't to know if there are news or changes about this because some posts are old.

I have 2 problems:

In godaddy I have to set ddn in a relative folder like my2nddomain.com/dnn (can't install on root).
This can work with a index.htm file in the root of my my2nddomain that redirects to /dnn. I think it works but it's not the perfect solution, because the all url's inside site will have /dnn/mypage.aspx.

I have problems when creating more dnn portals in the same dnn installation, i think that's because is not on the root. I saw some solutions to put in the root, line in dnnhero site, but i want a reliable solution recomended by godaddy.

I contacted godaddy and I'm waiting for a recomended solution right now, but they told that don't give support to applications...

Can anyone give some guidelines? The best solution is too keep a relative folder like /dnn after domain?

Paulo, the only thing I can consciously recommend is that you get off of Godaddy's hosting service.

I personally used www.appliedi.net for all of my DotNetNuke hosting.

Godaddy does not support DotNetNuke, so I suggest switching to another hosting provider.
You can of course use DNN @ Godaddy but, you will not get reliable solutions to your problems by Godaddy Tech. However you may have workarounds provided by community members here. I was one of them. But currently I'm refraining myself from helping Godaddy users as It will someday cause great trouble to them.

For instance Database Publish Wizard always timeouts and it is almost impossible to deploy a database to Godaddy.

Ok, thank's for your sugestions.
I have other sites on godaddy so I will give a change and try it better first, because I wan't everything in the same place.

The godaddy support told me that I can't install dnn on the root folder, I should install in a mydomain.com/dnn for example, and the put a index.html in the domain folder, that redirects to the dnn folder (not a perfect solution I know).

I tryed in a non root folder and it worked good, but I don't know if i'm able to create new sites. I'm asking now to support.

Perhaps it is posible to change the domain to the subfolder after creating it, and so it could be then the new root for the domain.  I know this is possible with the newer Parallels Plesk Management system.
