If you've already created your blog and set a setting (such as public checkbox), you may later decide, now I want it private or vice-versa.  This is not intuitive in the module.  So here's how you do it.

Login with an admin account

Click on your page with the blog say the page is 'Blog'

You will see a number of modules listed.  You want to click the 'Manage' tooltip

Click on Blog Options

Voila!  You're back at the page that will allow you to change the initial setup blog settings.  Such as changing the publicity of your page.
