I am trying to install DotNetNuke 06.01.03, the free community edition, on to a virtual machine using Windows Server 2008R2. I am using IIS 7.0, and SQL. Is there a step by step instruction for this? I am getting log in failures when I try to log in to SQL. DNN seems to install correctly, but when I try to log in the following error comes up.

Connection Error(s):

Index#: 0

Source: .Net SqlClient Data Provider

Class: 14

Number 18456

Message: Sql login failed

I have been researching this error on google and so far haven't found anything that has solved the log in problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

That looks like an error when DNN tries to set up the database. If so, check the credentials that you're using to ensure they are correct. You can do this by logging in to SQL Server directly.

make sure, you enabled TCP/IP protocoll for both, SQL Server and Client.
