Last week I imported a set of around 2,000 user names using the datasrings user import module. I did not realize at the time all user names had trailing spaces in the csv cell containing their user name.

The users can login fine without including the trailing spaces, which is good, except we pass the user names into a third party support ticking application and when the names get passed all the spaces are there, and therefore the ticketing system does not work. (it cant match up the user names to its own database where the names are stored w/o the spaces).

Is there anything i can do to get rid of trailing spaces in user names? From the user database even? I have tried using the module to reimport overwriting the users but it did not work.

I have posted on their forum too ... just looking for any ideas on how to get rid of those spaces.

Thanks

Amy

you would need to correct the data in users table and aspnet_users table
