Continuing on from my earlier post about using the events module for a basic resource booking system I have set up to have basically all the functionality I need however as there are a large number of rooms the categories are becoming over run and setting up regular calendars is therefore very difficult.

I was wondering if it's possible and if so how I would go about installing multiple instances of the events module?

My goal would be to have 3 discrete instances of the module one used for calendars, one used for room booking and the third for resource bookings so that all calendars categories and locations can be kept entirely separate, is this idea aceivable?

Due to the structure of Events with the option for working with subcalendars, data is shared between the various instances of the module within 1 portal.
In answer to your question: categories and locations are portal wide Events data and not limited to one instance of the module. So no, not achievable, sorry.
