Hi,

I am beginner to DNN. I created one user control by following this link.
http://www.codeproject.com/Articles/1...

But Once I done all, I am not able to add the created module in page. I am able to add other existing module successfully. But failing to add mine. It is throwing following error while adding.

"   at DotNetNuke.Entities.Modules.ModuleController.AddModule(ModuleInfo module)\r\n   at DotNetNuke.UI.ControlPanel.AddModule.DoAddNewModule(String title, Int32 desktopModuleId, String paneName, Int32 position, Int32 permissionType, String align) in e:\\Divesh\\DotNetNukeCMS\\admin\\ControlPanel\\AddModule.ascx.cs:line 723\r\n   at DotNetNuke.UI.ControlPanel.AddModule.CmdAddModuleClick(Object sender, EventArgs e) in e:\\Divesh\\DotNetNukeCMS\\admin\\ControlPanel\\AddModule.ascx.cs:line 247\r\n   at System.Web.UI.WebControls.LinkButton.OnClick(EventArgs e)\r\n   at System.Web.UI.WebControls.LinkButton.RaisePostBackEvent(String eventArgument)\r\n   at System.Web.UI.WebControls.LinkButton.System.Web.UI.IPostBackEventHandler.RaisePostBackEvent(String eventArgument)\r\n   at System.Web.UI.Page.RaisePostBackEvent(IPostBackEventHandler sourceControl, String eventArgument)\r\n   at System.Web.UI.Page.RaisePostBackEvent(NameValueCollection postData)\r\n   at System.Web.UI.Page.ProcessRequestMain(Boolean includeStagesBeforeAsyncPoint, Boolean includeStagesAfterAsyncPoint)"

Please help. Or suggest me other way to create a module and add it in DNN.
Thanks
-Divesh

Hi, Divesh

I think you try the right direction, the simplest way to create your own DotNetNuke module is download VS Starter Kit from codeplex page http://dotnetnuke.codeplex.com/releases/view/83632. But your article is connected with donetnuke ver.4, and today's vesion of dotnetnuke is 6. What version of DotNetNuke do you use to create the module?

I can suggest that you specify wrong parameters in manifest file.

Thank you,
Henry Carter
