Hello,

I am using the Manage Services and the paypal payment processor to manage paid for subscriptions on my site. I was having issues with the PayPal IPNs not posting to my site....PayPal said they sent, with a status code of 200 - OK. But the updates were never reflected in my site. After having some issues with the Purge Log Buffer running too much (another issue where multiple instances of this job run simultaneously) and seeing that another one of my other DNN instances had this disabled, I disabled it in this DNN instance. Immediately after turning this off, PayPal IPN began to work.

Not knowing exactly what the Purge Log Buffer does, does this sound like there is any connection? I was thinking that maybe the IPNs were in the buffer, and maybe the multiple simultaneous Purge jobs overlapping, that the IPN wasn't making it from the Buffer to the DB....but again I am talking out of school, so looking for ideas.

Thanks,
Chad

PS. I assume that disabling the Purge scheduled job means that records are written immediately to the db and not logged at all, vs them being in the buffer and never being purged and hence written to the db....that sounds obvious, but the latter is what one would think based on the description of the Purge Log Buffer job.
