Hi!

I have a customer with a little bit different requriement.
He wants different hovering colors in the menu for each of the menuitems. Is this possible at all with the Solpartmenu?

The menu contains only menuitems on toplevel, there is no need of differnet colors in the sub menu items... puuh

I think this is impossible to do, but I wanted to ask you all first

In the previous version it was not possible. There were some changes announced for the new version, but I do not know if that's a new feature or not.

Do you know the truth when you hear it?

Dear pehu

Perhaps it can.
If you know the id of the menu item... for instance: id="tddnn_dnnMENU_ctldnnMENU770"

Then you can set the css style... for that specified menuitem...
#tddnn_dnnMENU_ctldnnMENU770 rootmenuitemselectedcssclass
{
}
I've never try it, but perhaps it can. Let me know...

I remembered a similar thread here in the DNN forums that might be a starting point to accomplish what you want to do.  If you are able to extend this solution, please tell us how you did it.  This may, in turn, help someone else.

Good luck

I believe your best bet may be to use one of the two Inventua menu modules, the top menu or the side menu.  They both give you the ability to use the page name to create a unique css class for each page, which would allow you to do what you want to do.  I haven't actually used either module yet to do what you mention, however, I am in the process of building a site right now with the same requirement and I plan to use the top menu to do it.  I should have it implemented today or tomorrow.

I love the Inventua menu modules!
